Wholesome Holdings Teams with Brazos To Acquire Golden County Foods, Inc: Wholesome Holdings announced today the acquisition of Wisconsin-based Golden County Foods, Inc, a leader in frozen appetizers and potato products the past seventeen years. Golden County produces products for several of the nation’s largest food companies to sell under their brand to the nation’s largest retailers. The Company also owns SNAPPS brand of appetizers which over the past 24 mos is the fastest growing brand nationally. Golden County is a large supplier to the casual dining restaurant sector as well.
The transaction was funded by equity from Wholesome Holdings, Brazos Private Equity Partners and a rollover investment from existing management team members. Credit facilities were provided by two leading lending institutions in the food space.
