Announces New Premium Pit Smoked Turkey Breast. Sadlers
Smokehouse announced today the soft launch of its
new Premium Pit Smoked Turkey Breast. In development
for over 12 months, the new product utilizes that
same proprietary slow pit smoking process using hickory
hardwoods. Sizing is projected to range from 2.5lbs
to 3.5 lbs in an attractive black cryopac film.
“This product
fulfills the premium quality promise to consumers
that the Sadlers brand represents. The early retailer
feedback has been extraordinary,” said Greg
Klein, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Foodservice.
Given other growth
projects, the company noted they will roll the product
out slowly this year. If sales take off, it will be
rolled out nationally. The product will benefit from
Sadlers’ earlier investment in high pressure
pasteurization (HPP) technology. After a long smoking
process, the product will immediately be sealed and
then HPP processed for maximum food safety and refrigerated
shelf life.
